Dance juries are for dance students in second grade and above across all areas of dance. The dance juries determine dance students’ progress in his or her respective discipline over the course of the Conservatory year. At the end of the school year, dance students are evaluated by a panel consisting of, but not limited to their teacher, Head of the Department, and the Conservatory Director. This process is very important in evaluating the student’s growth, level of commitment, and goals.
The panel’s grade for the student’s performance on the day of the evaluation is only a part of the overall final grade. The student’s work in class during the course of the year, his or her attendance, and his or her participation in rehearsals and performances will be discussed by the jury and is reflected in the final grade.
