Stephanie Perez began her dance training at Conchita Espinosa Academy and Conservatory of the Arts, from where she graduated in 2012. She continued her studies at New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL, and later earned her BFA in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Stephanie then expanded her dance training internationally at the Conservatorio Superior de María de Ávila in Madrid, Spain.
As both a choreographer and performer, Stephanie has remained active in the Miami dance community. She has performed in works with Syncopate Collective and as an independent artist. In 2022, she was selected as a Here & Now Artist by Miami Light Project, receiving a commission to choreograph and perform in Manteca—a notable dance work inspired by the game of dominos and Cuban culture. Manteca has since been performed throughout Miami, becoming an iconic and memorable work.
In addition, Stephanie has completed a full comprehensive Pilates certification with Polestar Pilates, a program that emphasizes movement science and holistic body awareness. Her Pilates knowledge enriches her teaching, helping young dancers build strength, improve alignment, prevent injuries, and develop a deeper understanding of their bodies.
Returning to CEA and CEC as a ballet and jazz teacher, Stephanie is dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of dancers with the same passion and care that shaped her own artistic journey.
