Congratulations to Lisset Iglesias Ledón, CEA/CEC Class of 2020. Lisset, who is currently a sophomore at New World School of the Arts College Division for Vocal Performance, is one of the soprano semi-finalists in the prestigious Schmidt Vocal Competition Undergraduate Awards! This competition unlocks access to Schmidt Vocal Arts professional development opportunities, grants, and educational programs for alumni, helping singers take the next step in their careers.
Getting to this semi-finalist step is a huge accomplishment, as only 35 top singers out of hundreds were selected to form part of the semi-finalist round. The awards ceremony will take place on February 14th, during which the four final winners for each category and special recognitions will be announced.
