CEC advanced ballet students, Mia Toribio and Catalina Vigil, competed in the Dance Open America International Dance Competition.
They were both selected to participate in the Grand Prix Finals, which took place in May. The competition featured an impressive panel of judges, and we are very proud of Mia and Catalina’s final results.

In the Grand Prix Finals- 4th place, securing a place in the Top 20.
Based on her participation in video preselection, Rodolfo Castellanos, Artistic Director of Programa D’Alt Rendiment En Dansa, awarded Catalina Vigil a 50 percent scholarship to the Summer Dance Intensive Course in Terrassa, Barcelona.
Based on her participation in the Grand Prix Finals, Ariel Serrano, Artistic Director of Sarasota Cuban Classical Ballet School awarded Catalina a 50 percent scholarship to their Summer Dance Intensive in Sarasota.

In the Grand Prix Finals – 6th place, securing a place in the Top 20.
Based on her participation in the Grand Prix Finals, Laura Alonso and Deborah Marquez, Artistic Directors of CuBallet, awarded her a 50 percent scholarship to the CuBallet United States International Summer Intensive in West Palm Beach.
