Violin Master Class with Dr. Daniel Andai

Dr. Daniel Andai, renowned violinist and conductor and New World School of the Arts Dean of Music gave a wonderful master class to the students in our Strings Department. Three violin students performed: Sabrina Perez (Lower School), Diego Varela (Upper School), and Paloma Diaz (CEC High School Division). They did a phenomenal job and demonstrated incredible openness in receiving and applying feedback. Michael L. Breaux

Michael L. Breaux holds degrees in music education (BME, Louisiana State University) and music performance (MM, Yale). In addition, he holds a professional diploma in educational leadership. He is currently completing his Ed.D. in music education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where his dissertation research focuses on both the cognitive strategies used and the eye movements used in scanning music for important information during sight-reading. Mario Prisuelos

Born in Madrid, Mario Prisuelos studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music, then trained further in Vienna under the direction of Leonid Brumberg, subsequently finishing in Madrid with Humberto Quagliata, thus continuing in the piano tradition of the great maestros like Alfred Cortot, Claudio Arrau or Arthur Rubinstein.
