Tuesday, December 19th 10:00 a.m. CEA Central Park Dance in Central Park will be a holiday celebration of dance featuring student groups from our Cuban dance and Spanish dance departments. Families are welcome to join us as we celebrate the holiday spirit! This performance is free of charge.
On September 25th, the Spanish dance department was invited back to perform as the official representatives of Spanish culture at the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain‘s Spanish Educators’ Conference, held at Florida International University. CEC is one of the few institutions to honor the four disciplinary traditions of Spanish dance: classical Spanish dance, Escuela Bolera, folklore, and flamenco, giving our dancers an appreciation of the richness of Spanish dance and the historical and geographical context for their area of study. For 87 years, Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts (CEC) has maintained their commitment to the development of young artists. CEC offers students exceptional technical and artistic training within a nurturing environment that allows them to develop into human beings with a deep understanding, appreciation, and respect for the Arts. Enrollment is open to the community and not limited to students from the Academy. Classes are also available for professionals and adults.
