CEC Master Classes with Carmen Amaya Conservatory Faculty

We are excited to announce that during our recent Spanish dance trip to Spain, CEC established an excellent relationship with the Carmen Amaya Conservatory in Madrid, which will serve to further inculcate Spain’s art and culture in our students, as well as establish a formal program at CEC that is officially validated by the Carmen Amaya Conservatory.

Monday – Friday
Students entering Cordoba and Andalucia Levels: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Students entering Castilla and Aragon Levels: 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Students entering Malaga, Segovia, and Advanced Levels: 4:45 – 7:45 p.m.

All students must have:

Ballet Slippers
Spanish dance shoes
Spanish dance skirts
Pink tights
Castanets
Escuela Bolera Skirt (for advanced groups)
Hair tightly pulled back in a bun

During the week of Monday, August 29 – Friday, September 2

Spanish dance students in Cordoba level and above will have the opportunity to participate in a week of master classes and evaluation by members of the faculty of the Carmen Amaya Conservatory at CEC.

In preparation, and in order for the girls to take full advantage of this opportunity, Marisol Moreno will teach a week of classes from Monday, August 22 – Friday, August 26.

*Students in previously Sevilla (entering Cordoba) Spanish dance must take the Spanish Dance Summer Intensive in order to participate in this course, as the summer intensive will prepare them technically in the areas of Escuela Bolera and folklore.
