Ibette Acosta won several voice and choir competitions in her native Cuba. She is a graduate of EVA, Vocational School of Arts, Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and the National School of Arts and the Superior Institute of Arts in Havana, Cuba. She has performed with the Frank Fernandez Symphony Orchestra, the National School of the Arts Chamber Choir and the Santiago de Cuba National Choir. She has been a music, piano, and harmony teacher since 2004. Ms. Acosta has a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and Music Education from Florida International University (FIU). Ms. Acosta was a music teacher and Senior Music Mastery faculty at CEA from 2007 to 2021, and continues as Conservatory music faculty.
