Lucia Panizza is an Uruguayan-American soprano. She graduated from Universidad de la República, in Uruguay, and attended Escuela Nacional the Arte Lirico, SODRE, where she performed the role of Susana from The Marriage of Figaro, and performed in several concerts. She was awarded two full scholarships by the Uruguayan Association of Musicians (SUDEI). Thereafter, she was chosen to take part at a summer program at Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires, Argentina), where she performed arias by Mozart. In the United States she has engaged with The Opera Atelier, Florida Opera Prima, Miami Lyric Opera, Miami Classical Music Festival, and La Zarzuela Inc. performing in their programs, concerts, and productions. She sang the role of Duchess Carolina in the zarzuela Luisa Fernanda produced by La Zarzuela Inc. in Miami, Florida. She has participated actively in international Programs including the European Music Institute in Vienna, and the Russian Opera Workshop. She also attended numerous Master Classes with such notables as Francisco Araiza, Ghenady Meirson, Juliana Gondek, Frederica von Stade, Deborah Voigt, Jake Heggie, and Manny Perez, among other great artists. In addition to her experience as an artist, Ms. Panizza been teaching voice to children privately and in multiple music studios and conservatories since 2016.
