Mirtha de la Torre is a graduate of the prestigious University of Havana’s “Instituto Superior de Arte” with a degree as a classical guitar performer. She completed post-graduate studies in Madrid, Spain. For over 30 years she performed in Cuba, Spain, France, Russia, Turkey, Mexico and the U.S. She has enjoyed a long career as a performance artist and music educator in Cuba, Spain, and the United States. Ms. de la Torre has been on the CEC faculty since 2008. She has a special gift for working with children and her enthusiasm and dedication are clearly passed on to her students.
