Catalina Vigil attends Summer Dance Intensive in Terrassa Barcelona
Based on her participation in the Dance Open America International Video Preselection, Rodolfo Castellanos, Artistic Director of Programa D’Alt Rendiment en Dansa, awarded Catalina Vigil a scholarship to attend their 2022 Summer Dance Intensive in Terrassa Barcelona on scholarship this past summer. Catalina, currently a CEC dance student in the high school program, had a wonderful experience! Congratulations Catalina!
Conservatory Holiday Showcase
The Conservatory holiday showcase is a celebration of dance and music in which numerous student groups will perform. The holiday showcase will be at CEA’s Rosita Segovia Theatre.
Dance Intensive Summer Showcase
Featuring Beauty and the Beast, and original collaborative piece by Danella Bedford and Marisol Moreno The Summer Dance Showcase featured the students of the CEC Summer Dance Intensive through a dynamic series of choreographic works in ballet, Spanish dance, latin dance, and jazz. Dance Open America International Dance Competition
CEC advanced ballet students, Mia Toribio and Catalina Vigil, competed in the Dance Open America International Dance Competition. They were both selected to participate in the Grand Prix Finals, which took place in May. The competition featured an impressive panel of judges, and we are very proud of Mia and Catalina’s final results. Catalina Vigil Gold for Teen Classical 3rd Place and Gold for Teen Contemporary Selected as an Ambassador. In the Grand Prix Finals- 4th place, securing a place in the Top 20. Conservatory Registration
Conservatory Pre-Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year will be open from May 25 – July 8th. During this period, the non-refundable pre-registration fee is $25.00 per discipline. After July 8th, the regular registration fee of $65.00 per discipline will apply. You may e-mail the form to Isabel Chao at ichao@conchitaespinosa.com or bring to the Conservatory office with payment at any time. Tuition for the Conservatory is based on one yearly fee, September through May. For your convenience, tuition may be divided into nine (9) equal monthly payments. OnStage NY Dance Competition
Congratulations to the dancers who competed in the Onstage NY Competition on March 19-20. Each dancer gave their heart and soul to their pieces and we could not be prouder. Thank you to Ms. Danella Bedford and Dr. Kenia Garcia Cabrera for their impeccable training, dedication, leadership, and the love with which they so carefully and thoughtfully prepare each dancer for the experience. JOIN THE LEGACY
For 87 years, Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts (CEC) has maintained their commitment to the development of young artists. CEC offers students exceptional technical and artistic training within a nurturing environment that allows them to develop into human beings with a deep understanding, appreciation, and respect for the Arts. Enrollment is open to the community and not limited to students from the Academy. Classes are also available for professionals and adults.
