Theatre
The theatre program exposes students to the fundamentals of creative dramatics and foundational acting techniques through process-oriented classes. Through improvisational theatre exercises, movement, and literature, students discover an awareness of their own creativity and the creativity of others. An emphasis is placed on ensemble building, spontaneity, presence, voice and movement, environment, relationships, purpose/objectives, monologues and scene study. Students work as a collective to refine their storytelling abilities with a deeper understanding of human behavior. Performances opportunities will be consistently available in class.
Blessed Unrest
Blessed Unrest is the official youth theater company of Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts. Debuting in 2016 with our production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Blessed Unrest is dedicated to the voice of the student as an artist, and its focus is primarily on the work of William Shakespeare. Each year we present a main-stage production open to the public.
